Lothar Matthäus has explained why he believes Bayern Munich made a mistake by not signing Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.

German football legend Lothar Matthäus has suggested his former club. Bayern Munich should reconsider a move for Germany international defender Jonathan Tah this summer.

Bayern Munich tried to sign เล่นบาคาร่า UFABET เว็บตรง ค่าคอมสูง Tah from Leverkusen last summer but were unsuccessful. And despite the 29-year-old confirming he would leave the Bundesliga when his contract expired this summer. The Bavarians decided to pull out of the deal. With Matthäus advising his former club to reconsider.

Now, the 29-year-old centre-back is set to leave Leverkusen on a free transfer, and Bayern no longer seem to be in pole position to secure the German international’s signature.

‘It’s no surprise that Tah will leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer. The decision is now clear,’ Matthäus said. ‘It’s definitely a big loss for Leverkusen. Plus, Tah is leaving on a free transfer. It hurts a lot.’

‘Bayern made a mistake last summer not signing Tah, but maybe he will make another decision to move to Bayern this summer. FCB’s defence is still under development, there are many uncertainties. If I had the chance to choose Bayern, I would want the best and Tah is one of the best. I would definitely consider Tah.’

Although Bayern are looking for a centre-back and Jonathan Tah has confirmed he will leave Leverkusen on a free, there are still big doubts over him at Bayern. In addition, bridges were burned between Tah, his representatives and Bayern last summer after Max Eberl reached an agreement with him, only for the supervisory board to veto the move in the end because of €5m.
